Paul Walker, PPDGM Receives 50 Year Service Emblem

On November 6, 2014, Paul O. Walker, Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Fifty-Sixth Masonic District, received the Fifty-Year Masonic Service Award of the Right Worshipful Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania (www.pagrandlodge.org). Presenting the award on behalf of Robert J. Bateman, R. W. Grand Master, is Peter M. Kraus, District Deputy Grand Master of the Twenty-Fourth Masonic District (www.24thmasonicdistrict.org). Mr. Walker entered Freemasonry on November 9, 1964, in Lodge No. 408 in Meadville, PA, and is currently a member, Past Master, and Trustee of North Star Lodge No. 241 Free and Accepted Masons of Warren. Mr. Walker served as Worshipful Master of North Star Lodge in 1970 and served the R. W. Grand Lodge as District Deputy Grand Master from 1978-1988 and again as Acting District Deputy Grand Master from September through December 2001.

In December 2009, the Fifty-Sixth Masonic District merged into the Twenty-Fourth Masonic District. North Star Lodge, having been constituted in Warren on June 5, 1850, is the oldest Masonic Lodge in the Twenty-Fourth Masonic District that presently includes the Erie, Edinboro, Girard, North East, Union City, Corry, Youngsville, and Warren areas.
