Join the Tyrians on their Pilgrimage

Monday, March 13, 2017

We are extremely excited to announce that Tyrian-Commonwealth Lodge No. 362 will be convening its June 2017 Stated Meeting in the Egyptian Hall Room of the Grand Lodge Masonic Temple Building in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

The Masonic Temple Building in Philadelphia was constructed in 1873. This building is one of the most impressive, ornate and historically significant buildings in all of Freemasonry. The Egyptian Hall Lodge Room is an extraordinary room with amazing symbolism. A virtual tour of the building can be viewed at http://pamasonictemple.org/temple/ (The Egyptian Hall Lodge Room portion of the 13 minute video starts at the 7:15 marker).

Our plan is to travel to Philadelphia by motor coach on Friday, June 9, 2017, staying overnight at a local hotel. On Saturday morning, June 10, 2017, after breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to the Grand Lodge Masonic Temple Building, and tour the building and the Masonic Museum. Lunch will be catered to us in the building, and our Stated Meeting will convene early in the afternoon. We plan to begin our return trip to Erie late in the afternoon.

The Lodge will bear the expense of transportation and the expense of the lunch for its Lodge members. All participants will pay for both of their dinners, as well as their hotel room. We expect double occupancy of each room at the hotel.

This trip is for Masons, only, and any Northwest Pennsylvania Mason will be welcome to join Tyrian-Commonwealth Lodge until the bus is full. (Note: members of other Lodges may be asked to assist with the cost of their transportation and lunch, however this cost, if applicable, will be nominal.)

To reserve your place on this adventure, please forward your check in the amount $100.00, payable to Tyrian-Commonwealth Lodge No. 362, to the address below. Your check is your reservation. Your $100.00 deposit is non-refundable, and will be applied toward the cost of your hotel room, transportation and Saturday's lunch.*

Please give this matter your immediate consideration, as early planning is crucial to a successful event.
